Guatemala Huehuetenango

We are excited to bring back this extraordinary and complex coffee featuring all of the best from Guatemala in one cup: flavor notes of sweet orange, peach, and caramel in the finish.

This coffee comes from Cooperativa Rio Azul. The Coop currently has 282 members as of 2020. The Coop started in the late 1960s, and to this day believe that the foundation of the Coop allows all members to achieve better benefits and makes it more profitable for the group to process coffee, many of whom are 2nd and 3rd generation growers.

I experimented with several different roasting profiles for this coffee on our sample roaster before settling on the one you have today. With a focus on high altitude and clean processing, this regional blend has all of the attributes I love about a coffee from Huehuetenango—vivid acidity and a prominent fruit note.
